About Journey West: 81 Trials

Journey West: 81 Trials is a free falling-blocks puzzle game that runs in your browser with no download. The classic rules are all here, with a story on top: the Tang monk and his disciples are walking to the West, and every line you clear moves them one trial closer to the scriptures.

Demons hide inside the stack. Clear the rows that hold demon cells to wound them, and take down the demon kings, from the White Bone Demon to the Bull Demon King, before they carry the master away. Clearing certain blocks fills your mana, and a full bar gives you a treasure that can save a hopeless board.

Every cleared line paints one page of a hand-painted scroll of the 81 trials, which you can browse in the gallery. Earn incense to unlock block skins such as Blue and White porcelain, Paper Cut and Gold Leaf, keep a daily check-in streak, and challenge a friend with a link to today's Daily Trial.

How to play

1. Choose a mode and a difficulty, then start your journey.
2. Move and rotate the falling blocks to fill complete rows.
3. Clear rows with demon cells to damage demons and beat each demon king.
4. Use treasures with 1, 2 and 3 when the board gets tight.
5. Keep the master safe and clear fast to earn three stars.
